Once a patient has decided to go forward with the procedure our concierge will help schedule the procedure and arrange for financing if necessary. The procedure is performed in the comfort of our beautiful, private office in Coral Gables. Patients are offered the option of nitrous oxide during the procedure to achieve maximal comfort. The entire procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes. At the end of the procedure the penis is wrapped with a light surgical dressing. After a period of observation patients may drive themselves home following the procedure.

COSMETIC CIRCUMCISION RECOVERY

SEXUAL ACTIVITY MUST BE AVOIDED FOR AT LEAST ONE MONTH

Following the procedure patients should plan to return home and spend the day relaxing with reduced activity. Mild penile pain can be managed in most cases with acetaminophen and a prescribed anti-inflammatory/pain medication. Patients may resume daily showers one day after surgery, taking care to avoid directly scrubbing the penis. It is essential that patients avoid submerging their incision under water for at least one month and until cleared by our surgeons. This means no baths or swimming while recovering. Patients are advised to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sweating and heavy lifting until cleared by their surgeon. Sexual activity must be avoided for at least one month.
